1. Who We Are
Maine Farmstands is operated by Saysirara LLC, a Maine limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with the Maine Farmstands website and directory.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly: When you submit a listing through our website form, we collect: stand name, road and town, nearest cross street or landmark, product categories, description and hours, whether you are the stand owner (yes/no), and your email address (optional). When you submit listing information via Facebook comments on our posts, we collect the stand information you share publicly in those comments.
Information collected automatically: When you visit the Site, we may collect standard web analytics data such as pages visited, approximate geographic location (city/region level, not street address), browser type, and referring site. We use this data to understand how the Directory is used and to improve the experience.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to create, maintain, and display stand listings in the Directory; to contact you about your submission if you provided an email address; to identify stand owners who may be interested in claiming or updating their listing; to improve and maintain the Site; and to respond to your inquiries or removal requests.
4. What We Will Never Do
We will never sell your personal information or the information of listed stand owners to any third party. We will never share email addresses with advertisers, data brokers, or any party outside of Maine Farmstands operations. We will never display your email address publicly on the Site.
5. Information Displayed Publicly
Stand listings published in the Directory include: stand name, approximate location (road and town, map pin), product categories, and any description or hours provided. Email addresses are never displayed publicly.
6. Data Retention
Listing information is retained for as long as the listing is active in the Directory. If a listing is removed at the owner's request, we will delete the listing data from the public directory within 48 hours. We may retain submission records (including email addresses) for a reasonable period to prevent spam resubmission and to maintain records for legal purposes.
7. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@saysirara.com. Stand owners may request removal of their listing at any time.
8. Third-Party Services
The Site uses third-party services for mapping (Mapbox), hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), and analytics. These services have their own privacy policies. We select providers who handle data responsibly but are not responsible for their practices. Your browser communicates directly with Mapbox when loading map tiles.
9. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on the Site with a revised effective date.
